Our campaign
The Friends of the Shaker Historical Museum is proposing to place a 0.3-mill municipal property tax levy on the ballot to keep our community’s rich history alive. This modest investment will ensure the Shaker Historical Museum remains open, free, and accessible to all residents and visitors. With your support, we can continue sharing the stories that make our community unique.
what is the shaker historical museum?
For close to 80 years, the Shaker Historical Museum has been a cornerstone of our community, preserving and sharing the rich history of Shaker Heights. With a collection of over thousands of artifacts and year-round community and educational programming, the museum brings our city’s past to life while also celebrating and engaging in the history we’re making as a city today. More than just a museum, it’s a gathering place where our shared stories connect generations and shape our future.
